Shadi Abu Saleh, the father of 14-year-old Siraj who was injured yesterday (Saturday) by Hezbollah's attack on Majdal Shams calls on Israel to solve the problem on the northern border: "We must end this whole nightmare, and go all in. How long can we wait? Until we see all our children dead?"
Shadi spoke about the difficult feelings in Majdal Shams: "We are going through a catastrophic situation that we have not experienced in our lives; since I was born the village of Majdal Shams has not experienced such a disaster. A disaster for innocent children who just want to play football and in the end we lost 12 in this game. My heart aches for all those who fell."
Saleh spoke about the difficulty of telling his son, who is starting to recover, that many of his friends were murdered: "It's hard to digest, we never in our lives thought that something like this would happen. We said even when we heard that explosion that it was the Iron Dome. But it turned out to be a missile weighing fifty kilos."
He also expressed anger at the government's lack of action: "We are neglecting the north, the north is not being taken care of as well as, for example, the south or Gaza. People are really dying...We need to put an end to this."
