In a statement, the IDF spokesperson said: "In response to alerts activated in northern Israel regarding hostile aircraft incursions and rocket fire, several suspicious aerial targets were identified crossing from Lebanon. Attempts to intercept these targets were unsuccessful. Fires broke out in several areas due to debris from failed interceptions, and firefighting forces are working to extinguish them."

It was also stated: "Alerts for rocket fire were activated due to concerns about debris from failed interceptions. There are no casualties."
