Military reporter hints: This is the hidden reason behind returning to Khan Yunis

Military correspondent suggests: "I Hope this is the reason for the return to Khan Yunis." Oren Heller, referring to the IDF's return to Khan Yunis to dismantle Hamas infrastructure, states: "I hope this isn't the sole objective, but that there's something beyond that."

Heller, the military correspondent for Channel 13 News, comments on the IDF's return to Khan Yunis to dismantle HamasCaptivestructure, expressing hope that this isn't the only reason and recalling the previous operation to release captives.

In an interview with Radio 103FM, Heller said: "This is essentially moving to stage three – yesterday morning, the IDF began warning residents of Khan Yunis that they were entering. The militants take this very seriously because they know that where the IDF says it will come, it comes. A few hours later, they withdrew. The IDF announced it entered to dismantle Hamas infrastructure trying to organize itself, rebuild, and reconnect."

Heller noted: "I hope this isn't the sole objective, but that there's something beyond that – I don't have information on it, but I recall that in the previous entry, it served a broader effort to release captives, despite very low chances of release in a military operation. There is an absolute consensus in the security establishment that now is the time for a deal. As we saw yesterday, the captives are not only suffering and not dying, they are also dying."
