American source denies Hochstein aiming for "mutual withdrawal" from Lebanese border

Today, (Thursday), an American source denied a report in a Kuwaiti newspaper (and quoted by Naharnet), per which US envoy Amos Hochstein is hoping for a deal where both the IDF and Hezbollah would "mutually" withdraw from the border, according to Kann 11 News reporter Roi Kais.

A source quoting Western diplomats had previously spoken to a Kuwait newspaper, quoted by Naharnet, said that "One of the exits that he is looking for would be a balanced, mutual retreat from both sides of the border by Hezbollah’s fighters and the Israeli army with U.S. guarantees and an active role for the U.N. forces."
