At a press conference today (Wednesday), Public Diplomacy Directorate Spokesperson David Mencer said that there is still "more work to do" regarding the fight against Hamas in Gaza before moving to a less intensive phase of fighting.

In response to a question by JFeed, Mencer, who previously noted that Hamas battalions were being taken apart and suffering serious casualties aside from "stragglers," said that there is still "more work" to do before the IDF can reduce the activity of its efforts against Hamas.

Regarding recent reports that $50 million had been offered to the Prime Minister from Qatar, Mencer said that the report did not seem to him to hold much water.
