24 year old content creator Lilaq Logan is changing it up in Hasbara or Israel advocacy. As reported by the Times of Israel, Logan has felt a strong sense of unity in Israel since Oct. 7.  She is both a member of the African Hebrew Israelite community in Dimona and an Israeli Air Force service member, she regularly posts her reflections on the war on social media, where she has a large following.

She recently denounced Shaun King, who claimed to have helped free two Americans held hostage by Hamas (a claim that has never been proven) and accused Israel of committing genocide, asking the Black Lives Matter activist, "Are you really for Black Lives Matter? Are you really for human rights? Or are you on the next trend?”

In one of her most popular videos, she explains that she has received lots of comments by social media users over her identity. “I didn’t really want to get personal with it, but I got a lot of comments talking about, ‘You’re Black, sis, you don’t even belong [in Israel], sit this one out.'”

But she won't be silent, as she told JTA in an interview, “People are commenting without knowing what it feels like to be attacked in your own home ... I’m fighting for a greater cause.”

She recently accompanied Tiffany Haddish on her trip to Israel.

Logan said "On Friday, we visited Jerusalem, exploring the City of David where she learned about its history. We then enjoyed a Friday dinner at her rabbi's house before returning to Tel Aviv for the night. On Saturday morning, we visited Masada and then went to the Dead Sea. Tiffany Haddish said in advance that she wanted to learn; I asked her how she felt after she was already here. She answered that she learned that the media was lying about what was happening and that she was glad that she came. It was more important for her to see the people and not politicians, so she talked to ordinary people to learn more."

Through her courage to speak out, challenge misconceptions, and highlight the complexities of identity and belonging, Lilaq embodies a new generation of influencers using their platform for meaningful discourse. Her commitment to unwavering advocacy serves as an inspiration in an increasingly polarized digital landscape.
