Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett participated in a heritage event of the 'Five Fingers' educational movement. In a conversation with CEO of the group, Amir Menachem, Bennett said: "I made a lot of mistakes along the way. It shocked everyone. Certainly there are things I regret."

"For example, I didn't keep a very significant election promise," he continued. "I said I wouldn't sit with [the United Arab List], and ended up sitting with them. The reason I did was because I wanted to get Israel out of chaos, to avoid a fifth and sixth elections."

Bennett said that his mistake was making a "stupid promise" in the first place - that he wouldn't be willing to be part of a coalition that included certain parties. "I shouldn't have made those promises, but I learned," he says. "Even now when my son David asks: 'Are we going on a trip?' I tell him: 'We'll do our best to go.' No promises. I also made mistakes in choosing the right people."

The former prime minister made these comments during the traditional heritage evening at the Cinema City complex in Ramat Hasharon dedicated to the memory of 15 graduates of the movement killed in the war in Gaza.
