President Yitzhak Herzog issued a statement to the public for the coming holiday of Passover, asking everyone to leave an empty chair at the seder table, to remember the hostages, the fallen in war, and the murderd.

"During the Festival of Freedom this year, we all remember and remind each other in the deepest way that the covenant between the state and its citizens requires us to act in every way creatively, with determination, and courage to bring the girls and boys home."
