Foreign Minister Israel Katz responded today (Monday) to EU FM Josep Borrell Fontelles, who accused Israel of deliberately provoking a famine in the Gaza Strip and using it as a weapon of war.

In his response on X/Twitter, Katz stated that Israel allows humanitarian aid by air, land, and sea, despite Hamas violently attacking aid convoys and UNRWA working with Hamas.

He also said that Fontelles should stop attacking Israel and recognize its right to self-defense against Hamas.

Katz tagged multiple foreign ministers in his post, including the foreign ministers of Croatia and Bulgaria.
