A 15-year-old terrorist arrived on his electric bicycle at the HaMinharot Junction at the entrance to Jerusalem at 8:15 am this morning (Wednesday). While security personnel were trying to inspect him, the terrorist pulled out a knife and began stabbing soldiers.
Armed civilians responded immediately and confronted the terrorist. In the process, IDF soldiers on the scene joined in and eliminated the attacker with no additional casualties. As a result of the attack, two security personnel were wounded from stab wounds and were evacuated in light and moderate condition respectively for further treatment.
MDA medics Yonatan Shor and Yosef Haim Yisraeli said: "We quickly arrived at the scene and saw a man about 25-years of age and a young woman of about 20 fully conscious with stab wounds to their limbs and upper body. We provided quick treatment in the field and evacuated them to the hospital."
Sha'are Zedek Medical Center reported: "An 18-year-old woman injured from the attack at the HaMinharot Checkpoint was brought to the trauma unit at the medical center. The victim is in light condition and was transferred for further treatment."
"A 25-year-old man from a stabbing attack at the HaMinharot Checkpoint is being referred to the Hadassah Ein Kerem trauma unit. He is suffering from a stab wound to the head, is fully conscious and in mild condition," said the Hadassah Medical Center.
