IDF special units entered Jenin yesterday morning and arrested Mehdi Fayyad, the terrorist behind shooting and explosives attacks against IDF forces in Samaria.

IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police forces entered the PA-controlled city in broad daylight and arrested the wanted terrorist. In addition, in an operation conducted in Kfar Orif near Nablus, four weapons production labs were confiscated. A total of 10 wanted terrorists were apprehended throughout Judea and Samaria overnight.

The IDF also raided the village of Zeita, eliminating a terrorist who planned to carry out an attack in the immediate time frame. Soldiers trying to arrest the wanted man shot him when they realized he was trying open fire on them. After the incident, it was discovered that the terrorist was wearing an explosive belt.

The IDF stated that the suspects were transferred for further questioning and that there were no injuries to our forces.

Since the beginning of the war in Gaza, approximately 3,500 terrorists have been detained throughout the Judea and Samaria; over 1,500 of these are associated with the Hamas terrorist group.
