Commando units are continuing to battle terrorists in western Khan Yunis. Sniper ambushes and close-range fighting was reported as terror squads emerged from their hiding places.

The IDF also raided numerous terrorist infrastructures in the area and found a Kalashnikov-type weapon in a wardrobe, explosives, cartridges, an explosives activation device, and explosive kits.

During the fighting, soldiers directed a drone at a building where they suspected terrorists were hiding. After identifying a terrorist armed with a Kalashnikov who fired at the drone, soldiers returned fire and threw a grenade, killing the attacker. The unit then carried out a thorough search of the building where they found weapons and the terrorist's body.

In addition, during raids in the crowded alleys of Khan Yunis, soldiers encountered four terrorists armed with RPGs and Kalashnikov-type weapons, before opening fire and eliminating them.
