Defense Minister Gallant visited the Tal Shamayim base in the north, noting that the strategic calculations of Nasrallah collapsed when the Air Force operated in Damascus, Beirut, Nabatiyah, and everywhere else in the area. “Every day the IDF is winning and Hezbollah is losing. I hope there won’t be more difficult days, but if there are – you’re ready.”
The minister received a survey on the systemic activity in routine and emergency times, viewing the capabilities of air control to discover the various threats. During the visit, he gave thanks to the soldiers and noted the integration of Charedim into the base. “I have great appreciation for what you are doing here, I came here to the detection, surveillance, and interception array to get a first hand impression and see things,” he said.
According to him, “there is a combination of female soldiers, make soldiers, regular army, enlisted, reservists, members of the Defense Ministry – all are connected together. I am glad that there is integration of society who came from the Charedi sector and are taking responsibility.”
“I hope we return to an agreement-based process for returning the residents”
“We are at war in the south and we are keeping an eye open, and this eye is behind us in the northern direction. The calculations which Hezbollah thought they’d created are collapsing when the Air Force and the IDF decide to attack – in Damascus, in Beirut, in Sidon, in Nabatiyah, everywhere – they do the job and no equation stands in their way.”
“Your goal, together with the whole IDF, is to see that we are winning every day. I hope there won’t be more difficult days and we will remain in the framework where we ultimately reach an agreement-based process and return the residents, but if there are – you will know what to do. You have the best people, the best technology, and from I gather here you have a great deal of determination and motivation. So alongside all the hard things war brings, it also bought unity. We should all learn from the unity of the soldiers and the fighters.”
