Benny Gantz, Chairman of the State Camp party and member of the war cabinet, spoke today (Sunday) at the opening of the annual Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations in Jerusalem.

He began by saying that he wishes to express his deep gratitude to Jewish organizations across the United States and North Africa for joining the defense of Israel. He also said that the Israeli-American alliance was a ray of light in these dark hours, and especially expressed his thanks to President Biden and the many pro-Israel Congressmen and Senators of both parties who supported Israel’s “moral duty” to remove the threat of Hamas and bring the hostages home.

He also said that if the hostages were not home by Ramadan, the fighting would expand into Rafah. It would be done in a coordinated manner to protect uninvolved civilians, but it would happen. Israel would continue to fight until it achieved its objectives.

Gantz said that he supports normalization with Saudi Arabia, so long as Israel’s military superiority is maintained, and that one-sided actions like recognizing a Palestinian state are not the path to regional stability.
