Kann 11 News reporter Roi Kais reports a Lebanese newspaper reporting American emissary Amos Hochstein's plan for bringing quiet to the north: Hezbollah forces withdrawing to the Litani and the Lebanese Army deploying in a security belt 8-10 km deep in the south of the country.

A similar report by Axios suggests Hezbollah may not need to withdraw all the way per this deal, but only 8-10 km, in addition to economic benefits meant to "sweeten the deal." Israel would reportedly need to also end overflights of Lebanese territory and perhaps draw down some of the reserve forces presently at the border.

Israeli leaders have repeatedly warned time is running out on a diplomatic solution to the security threat against a region where tens of thousands of Israeli live and from which many have been forced to temporarily evacuate.
