"It's time to stop the madness": Protestors Against Humanitarian Aid to Gaza and Hamas Plan More Disruptions

Protest movement Tzav Tesha intends to expand its effort to stop humanitarian aid into Gaza until the hostages return by blocking not only crossing points but also offloading of aid at the port of Ashdod.

After days of trying, mostly without success, to stop trucks containing humanitarian aid crossing from Israel into the Gaza Strip, the protest movement Tzav Tesha has announced that it will now expand its efforts to the port of Ashdod, where much of the aid is offloaded, according to Channel 14 News.

Tzav Tesha, a protest movement that includes relatives of hostages held by Hamas and of IDF soldiers who have fallen during the war, is determined to stop all humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip "until the last of the hostages is released."

They began trying to disrupt humanitarian aid convoys on January 24 at Israel-Gaza border crossings. While some of the trucks have been forced back, the Israeli government has increasingly responded forcefully to these disruptions, including declaring the area a closed military zone and with the police using mounted officers and special forces.

Now, the movement aims to disrupt not only crossings but also offloading areas inside Israel at Ashdod port.
