The Palestinian Authority is set to carry out deep reforms of its various departments in preparation for "the day after" in the Gaza Strip due to heavy American pressure, especially from Anthony Blinken's State Department, according to reporting by Kann 11 News reporter Elior Levy.

The changes will include reform of the legal system, education - including as regards incitement against Israel and Jews, economy departments, and senior personnel changes.

The program for paying families of terrorists, which Israel has condemned as a "Pay to Slay" policy that encourages terrorism, is reportedly also open for discussion at the end of the reform process.

Levy reports that the Palestinian Authority expects to get a foothold in the Gaza Strip and effectively restore their central position as leaders of the Palestinians in exchange for this deep reform.
