President Yitzhak Herzog and his wife Michal will take off tomorrow (Wednesday) for the World Economic Forum convening in Davos, Switzerland, for a brief visit of less than a day.

During the visit, and accompanied by representatives of the families of hostages, the President will conduct meetings with international leaders expected to participate in the conference and he will give an interview to the central committee, while the President’s wife will take part in a panel dealing with global antisemitism.

The goal of the meetings is the promotion of intensive diplomatic pressure to ensure the safe return of the hostages, and to expose world leaders to the depths of the horrors committed by Hamas on October 7.

The President will also emphasize the humanitarian efforts of Israel towards the population of Gaza, an inseparable part of the overall war, as well as the fundamental security threat presented by Hamas’ control of Gaza to the State of Israel and the entire region.
