Israel-Gaza War, Elections

New Poll Shows Likud Recovering Slightly, With Gantz Still Far in the Lead

After hitting a nadir of about 15 seats in the first several weeks of the war, Likud appears to be regaining some of its strength, while Gantz's State Camp still leads with 33 projected seats.

A new poll by the Public Broadcasting Corporation and pollster Dudi Hassid shows Likud recovering from its nadir of about 15 seats in previous wartime polls to 20, while Gantz's State Camp has declined from a high of about 40 seats in wartime polls to 33, thus maintaining his lead.

In the coalition camp (sans Likud), if the elections were held today, Smotrich's Religious Zionism Party would get 4 seats, Itamar Ben Gvir's party 8 seats, Aryeh Deri's Shas 10 seats, and United Torah Judaism 7 seats.

All told, the coalition camp would get 49 seats.

In the opposition camp (sans State Camp), if the elections were held today, Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid would get 24 seats, Meretz 4 seats, Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beiteinu 10 seats, Hadash-Ta'al 5 seats, and Ra'am 5 seats.

All told, the opposition camp would get 71 seats in the Knesset.

Labour and Balad remain far below the electoral threshold of votes needed to get into the Knesset.
