In the morning hours (Saturday) the terrorist organization Hezbollah launched about 40 missiles towards the north of the country. The air force base nearby was allegedly the target of Hezbollah.

The massive attack was preceded by the statement of Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Hezbollah, who spoke on Friday and stated that "We cannot accept the killing of Saleh al-Arouri and his other friends in the Dahieh district, this flagrant violation will not go unanswered. If we remain silent about the killing of al-Arouri, Lebanon will be exposed, so the response will inevitably come."

No hostile aircraft or launches were detected that crossed into Israeli territory in other areas in the north of the country. After a short time, the IDF attacked a terrorist squad in Lebanese territory that took part in the launches.
