Houthis, "A Precursor"

Erdan: "Attacks of Houthis are only a Precursor for the Expected Dark Future for the Whole World"

With the return of the UN headquarters from the break, Israel's ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan spoke tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) at the Security Council discussion on the Houthi threat in the Red Sea, warned of the consequences and pointed an accusing finger at Iran.

During the discussion, Erdan pointed out that the Houthi army's attacks are a precursor to a future that threatens the entire world. "The attacks by the Houthis on ships in the Red Sea are only a precursor for the dark future expected for the region and the entire world if significant action is not taken against them urgently," he noted.

According to him, "The regime of the Ayatollahs in Iran is the only factor that connects together all the perpetrators of destruction in the Middle East." The ambassador also noted that "this reality is a glimpse of the dark future expected for the region and the entire world if significant action is not taken now. The attacks of the Houthis are only a precursor to a chaotic Middle East that will drag the entire world into chaos."

According to the ambassador, "This is not an Israeli problem, not even a Middle East problem. This is a threat to the entire world. A complete closure of the Bab-el-Mandeb strait will cost the world economy $6 billion every day. This council has previously recognized the Houthis as a terrorist organization. Now is the time to impose sanctions on them, and against those who finance or arm them."

The time has come for action against the Iranians

Erdan emphasized to those present Iran's involvement in the various arenas. "The time has come to talk about the Shia elephant in the room: the Ayatollah regime in Iran. They are the factor that connects and directs all the perpetrators of destruction. Iran is hiding while it is the one that pulls the strings, arms and finances its terrorist organizations."

He also added that "the Houthis, terrorists who belong to one of the poorest countries in the world, would never have obtained ballistic missiles and exploding drones without Iran, and would not have had the ability to locate ships without receiving intelligence from Iran in real time. It's time to reveal this to the world and take action. This could be the moment when the Council will be revealed in its glory, the moment when it will respond to the real threat to the Middle East."
