At the same time as the ongoing provocation by Hezbollah continues, the funeral of one of the organization's terrorists who were killed by the IDF is taking place in the village of Markaba in southern Lebanon, a few hundred meters from the border fence and only about a kilometer and a half from settlements adjacent to the fence in Israel such as Margaliot. Hundreds of people linked to the Hezbollah organization gather there and take part in the funeral, but the IDF does not disperse the event near the border or act against it.

The Hezbollah organization announced that they take responsibility for the shooting towards the settlements of Misgav Am and Beit Hillel.
