Mossad Director Dedi Barnea met last night (Thursday) with American National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan at the Mossad HQ to discuss the matter of the hostages and the Iranian nuclear threat.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said that the talks revolved around broader strategic issues, especially the threat presented by Iran at three levels – nuclear, growing regional strength, and terrorist activity.

The two also discussed the matter of returning the hostages from Gaza. During the conversation, Barnea expanded on the challenges Israel faces and thanked Sullivan for America’s aid on the matter.

The importance of continued cooperation between American and Israeli security organs, as well as forming new ties in the Middle East, was also discussed.
