Three days after he was released from captivity of the terrorist organization Hamas, the brother and sister of Roni Kariboy, an Israeli with Russian citizenship who was released thanks to pressure from Putin, issued a statement to the media through the families' headquarters: "We thank all the citizens of the State of Israel for their support, it is important for us to emphasize that the many publications are inaccurate and sometimes distorted."

Roni Kariboy's brother and sister on his release from Hamas captivity: "We thank all the citizens of the State of Israel for their support, we will not stop until all the families receive their loved ones back. Roni feels good since he returned from captivity, the family is by his side, supporting him so that he can return to his normal life as quickly as possible. We are aware of the discourse surrounding the events that happened to Roni during his captivity. It is important for us to emphasize that the many publications are inaccurate and sometimes distorted."

"Roni is a citizen of the State of Israel with Russian citizenship since he was born in the State of Israel. We thank everyone who had a part in the release of Roni from the captivity of Hamas: the IDF, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministers of the War Cabinet and the Russian government. We will take a few days to embrace Roni and then we will return to activity at the families' headquarters - we will not stop until the rest of the families receive their loved ones back from Hamas captivity.

"We ask the media in Israel and around the world to respect our privacy. We do not intend to be interviewed on the subject at the moment, since all our efforts are in Roni's rehabilitation. If there is a change, we will update through spokespeople of the families' headquarters."
