President Isaac Herzog met today with Shoshan Haran, who was kidnapped from her home during the October 7th massacre, along with six other members of her family from Kibbutz Be'eri. This week Shoshan was released with five members of her family. The seventh member of the family, Tal Shoham, is still being held captive by the terrorist organization Hamas.
The president hugged Shoshan and said: "You have no idea how excited I am to see you and your family. You have become a model, all the abductees have become a model for admiration, pain, and identification. I am sure they will return. I am convinced and know that there is a tremendous international effort, rare in its strength. They will come moments of complex decisions, but we have to do everything to free them and return them home."
Shoshan Haran said at the meeting: "I'm already here, but there are a lot of Israelis left in Gaza and we have to do everything we can to get them all back. I knew on the first day of captivity that within 20 hours my family would organize, form a strategy and start acting with all their might so that we could return home. I have complete faith in the state Israel, which is also making all efforts, and complete faith in the people of Israel to do everything they can for the return of the abductees."
