The Nature and Parks Authority is issuing a warning to travelers in anticipation of the expected weather starting today evening until Tuesday noon, and urging travelers to avoid entering streams.
authority's announcement reads: "According to the meteorological forecast, from Sunday 26.11 at noon to Tuesday 28.11 in the morning, there is a fear of floods in the streams of the Judean Desert and the south of the country."
It is also written that "it is absolutely forbidden to enter on foot or by vehicle into flowing streams until the water level drops completely", and that this is: "Life-threatening".
The Authority warns that "it is forbidden to approach the edge of a stream during a flood, cause of the fear of the bank collapsing", and that "for questions about routes and travel sites, it is recommended to get updated before going on a trip, with Israel Nature and Parks Authority information center at 3639*.
