The 401st Brigade Combat Team fought in the 'Valley of Rocket Artillery System' on the outskirts of Jabaliya and uncovered underground infrastructure and weapons under children's beds, and tunnels under homes.
As part of the fighting of the 401st Brigade's combat team in the 'Valley of Rocket Artillery System' area, an area from which a steep, wide trajectory was fired towards Israeli territory during the fighting, four significant tunnel shafts were located at a great depth. The shafts are connected to an electricity grid and were used by the terrorist organization Hamas, the main one of which was located in one of the buildings belonging to a senior Hamas official.
In another building linked to another senior member of the terrorist organization, many weapons were found in the bedrooms and under the beds of his children. In addition, operative plan documents and many weapons were located. All the materials were transferred to the Loot and Technical Document Collection Unit in the Intelligence Division for intelligence extraction and its transfer according to the fighting forces.
The commander of the 401st Brigade, Lt. Col. Benny Aharon, commented on the achievements of the combat team and said: "This is a successful day for the 401st Brigade Combat Team, finding long-range rockets, launch shafts and four Hamas operational shafts. We reached the "depth of the heart" of the Hamas formation, we found the operational home of one of the biggest terrorists, which includes ammunition, weapons, and everything under his children's beds and in the wardrobes. The area from which rockets were fired for years deep into the State of Israel was uncovered."
