The Prime Minister harshly criticized the words of the French President who called for a ceasefire: "World leaders must condemn Hamas-ISIS and not Israel, the crimes of Hamas will be committed tomorrow in Paris and New York."

The Prime Minister criticized (Saturday) the words of French President Emmanuel Macron who called for a ceasefire and claimed that "Israel must stop killing babies and women in Gaza." According to Netanyahu, "world leaders should condemn Hamas and not Israel."

Netanyahu's criticism comes after the interview that Macron gave to the BBC network in which he claimed, among other things, that there is "no justification" for the bombings, and that a ceasefire "would benefit Israel." The French president also said that Paris recognizes Israel's right to defend itself, but he urges Israel to stop the bombings in the Strip. In his words, the French leader also called on Britain and the US to join the calls for a ceasefire.

In response to the French president's interview, Netanyahu responded sharply to his words and stated the reason Israel went to war. "The responsibility for harming civilians lies with Hamas-ISIS and not with Israel. We remind that Israel entered the war because the terrorist organization brutally murdered hundreds of Israelis and kidnapped more than 200 Israelis," the Prime Minister said.

Netanyahu also emphasized Israel's conduct to protect the residents of Gaza and the cynical use that Hamas makes of them. "While Israel does everything to avoid harming civilians and calls on them to leave the combat zones, Hamas-ISIS does everything to prevent them from going to safe areas and uses them as a human shield. Hamas-ISIS brutally holds our abductees - women, children and elders - in a crime against humanity. It uses schools, mosques and hospitals as terrorist headquarters."

Finally, he emphasized that these murders could also occur elsewhere in the Western world. "These crimes that Hamas-ISIS is committing today in Gaza, will be committed tomorrow in Paris, New York and anywhere in the world. World leaders must condemn Hamas-ISIS and not Israel."
