Hamas and the Islamic Jihad rejected the Egyptian proposal for a cease-fire, according to which the terrorist organizations would relinquish power in Gaza and release the abductees in exchange for a permanent cease-fire.

Prime Minister Netanyahu referred to reports of a long ceasefire and said that "we will not stop fighting until all the goals that have been set are achieved, all Hamas terrorists from the first to the last are mortals."

Last night there was a discussion at the UN in which a resolution was passed calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire and the release of all the abductees. 153 countries voted in favor and only 10 countries opposed, among them: the USA, the Czech Republic and more.

Israel's ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan spoke last night at the UN at a discussion about a cease-fire in Israel. Erdan held up a sign with the phone number of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and wrote on it: "Do you want a cease-fire? Talk to him."

According to a report published by CNN, senior officials in the American administration made it clear to Israel that there are only a few weeks left until the humanitarian crisis will force them to reach a cease-fire in Gaza.

Hamas terrorists violated the ceasefire earlier when they set off explosives against IDF soldiers and shot at them; five soldiers were slightly wounded in two different incidents.

During his visit to the south, Benny Gantz said that the entire war cabinet is united in this position and there is no other option besides expanding the maneuver in the entire Gaza Strip.

The IDF spokesman called on the public not to spread information or rumors about the abductees and noted that the soldiers will be stationed inside Gaza City during the ceasefire. On the fear of terrorists returning to the northern Gaza Strip: "We are prepared for any eventuality."

Qatar is exerting heavy pressure to pursue a deal for 50 women and children from Hamas captives in exchange for a three-day respite from the fighting. Prime Minister Netanyahu claimed yesterday that "if and when there is something concrete to report on, we will do so".

The Prime Minister harshly criticized the words of the French President who called for a ceasefire: "World leaders must condemn Hamas-ISIS and not Israel, the crimes of Hamas will be committed tomorrow in Paris and New York."

US President Joe Biden confirmed that he spoke with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and asked him for a truce in the fighting in Gaza. Last night Netanyahu made it clear that "there will be no ceasefire without the release of the abductees."

Tomorrow (Tuesday), the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, is expected to arrive in Israel for a visit. In a general assembly of the French government, they tried to formulate a clear position for France to engage in brokering the ceasefire. The voices heard are for a "humanitarian truce that will lead to a ceasefire."
