The effort to identify the victims of the October 7 Massacre continues, with 845 victims identified as of this morning (Thursday), according to a statement by the Israel Police.
Since the terrible massacre in the south, the Israel Police, the IDF, Health Ministry, and the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute, as well as volunteer organizations are working together at the body concentration station at Shura Camp to identify the victims of the mass murder.
The 845 victims identified are civilians, not soldiers, who were murdered on that day. Their bodies were brought for identification at the body concentration station, established hours after the war broke out.
All the people taking part in this difficult work of identification are using advanced technological means in order to ensure the identification is complete.
Upon completion of the identification process, the information is then delivered to the bitter news teams who inform relatives of the fact of their loved one’s death, and preparations for burial begin.
