Acting Supreme Court President Uzi Fogelman and Justice Minister Yariv Levin announced today (Thursday) that 14 associated temporary judges would be appointed to the regular and labor court system.

In a statement issued by the two, they informed the members of the Judicial Selection Committee on their intent to make temporary appointments to the peace, district, and labor courts. This, in accordance with the legal section authorizing them to appoint a district or peace court who has retired to the role of temporary associate judge in the courts.

They will also follow another section in the law authorizing the Justice Minister, in consultation with the Labor Minister and the Labor Court Minister, to appoint a regional labor court judge as a temporary replacement for a retiring permanent labor court judge.
