IDF spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari, stated in his daily briefing to the public that the call to release all captives in exchange for all Palestinian prisoners is "psychological terrorism."
After updating that so far, the IDF has reported 311 casualties and 230 captives, Hagari was asked about a swap deal in which Hamas will release all captives in exchange for all Hamas prisoners held in Israel, a message conveyed by Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeida and Hamas Gaza leader Yahya Sinwar, who is also a former released prisoner himself.
"I suggest addressing this matter in one way. The timing of this announcement is just one thing: a psychological terror tactic with one goal – to create manipulation among Israeli citizens. Hamas did not create this proposal in front of Israel. Different mediators around the world created the dialogue. We will continue to act civilly and operationally, both to uncover and to know.
"Every offer from Hamas is psychological terrorism, cynically designed to create pressure and fear among the families."
Hagari was asked about the Shifa Hospital, which was revealed to be a terrorist command center and a hiding place for Hamas terrorists.
Is the hospital a target for an air force attack?
He responded by saying, "We constantly expose how Hamas exploits the Gazan civilians as human shields. Shifa Hospital is an excellent example. After the massacre on October 7th, more than 200 operatives are hiding in the hospital because they know the IDF won't attack a hospital. It's a cynical and manipulative use.
"Regarding the IDF's activities, I won't disclose any specifics of our plans. We revealed the information to expose that it is a war crime. We have shared a lot of materials with our partners so they are aware. We will not relent on this matter. There will be no terrorist infrastructure immune within civilian facilities, as is happening in UNRWA and other places.
"Regarding an attack: In this war, all options are on the table."
