Serious charges were filed today (Thursday) against 10 members of a terror squad planning terrorist attacks against IDF bases and facilities such as Ben Gurion Airport and the Kirya in Jerusalem. Members of the group also planned to assassinate Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir after obtaining an RPG missile for the attack. In addition, the group planned to kidnap IDF soldiers.

The squad recruited terrorist operatives and formulated a plan to rent a plot of land in the northern Arab town of Rahat or somewhere in Judea and Samaria to establish an underground factory for training and weapons production. One of the terrorists was able to contact Hamas in Gaza and was offered funding to carry out attacks.

The group's plans were foiled by the General Security Service before they had time to realize their plan which was in its early stages. The Shin Bet, IDF and Israel Police stated that they, "constantly continue their activities to thwart terrorism and locate operatives that endanger national security." We will take all measures to apprehend those who seek to harm Israelis," they added.
