This morning: Heavy rocket barrage in the North, direct hit in Kiryat Shmonah

14 rockets were fired towards the northern city of Kiryat Shmona, with a direct hit that caused damage to a building. The Air Force attacked Hezbollah targets across Lebanon.

After another morning of rocket sirens in northern Israel, a heavy barrage towards Kiryat Shmona included more than 10 missiles - most of them intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome.

Sirens were heard in Kibbutz Gosherim, Beit Hillel, Tel Hai, Kiryat Shmona, Ma'ayan Baruch, Kfar Giladi, Metula, and Misgav Am.

Spokesman for Kiryat Shmona, Doron Shanfer, said, "We had three sirens in Kiryat Shmona, there were interceptions and there was also a direct hit to the roof of a nine-story building on Uri Ilan Street. Damage was caused to the building but no one was injured.

There are reports of civilians wounded in the Beit Hillel Moshav in Atze HaGalil, however.

In response, the Air Force this morning attacked Hezbollah targets in Bayt Lif in southern Lebanon.

The military arm of Hamas in Lebanon accepted responsibility for launching 40 Grad rockets at Beit Hillel in the Galilee.
