Washington's Deni Avdija broke a personal record in Wednesday's 133-126 loss to New Orleans. This is a new record for an Israeli player in the NBA.

During the third quarter alone, Avdija scorched the Pelicans for 20 points, recording half of his team's total. He also picked up 15 rebounds and three assists. Avdija also broke Israel's records in shooting from the field (13 of 24), three-point range (6 of 10) and free throws made.

Just two days ago, he recorded a personal best, scoring 20 or more points in three consecutive games. In total, over his last five games, Deni has surpassed 20 points four times, finishing two of them with 24.
