Fearless Gal Gadot: "Antisemitism is rising, this struggle is far from over"

The world's most famous Israeli, Gal Gadot hasn't said a huge amount this year, but it's clear where her heart lies.

In a story posted by Gal Gadot yesterday (Tuesday) to her 108 million followers, she shared impressions from a visit to the Nova exhibition in Los Angeles. "The Nova exhibition is very personal for me. It's a tribute to the lives lost at the Nova music festival on October 7th. A day that began with love and peace but ended in unimaginable tragedy. My hope is that through this exhibition, people will feel the spirit of unity and remember the importance of standing together in love even in the darkest times. I truly wish for everyone to experience this, to honor those we've lost and never forget."

Gadot also said, "Today I randomly met a Holocaust survivor, almost 100 years old, who survived Auschwitz ... He shared stories about his family, all of whom wore the Star of David and how he's the only one left.I told him that my grandfather also survived Auschwitz. Before we parted, he gave me a sticker with his name and said: 'Am Israel Chai' (The People of Israel live).

Of all the days for this to happen, it happened on October 7th. It reminded me of the rising antisemitism we're dealing with today. This man dealt with it 80 years ago, and we're still dealing with it today.

My grandfather who survived the horror raised us on values of love, peace, and compassion. This struggle is far from over, but I believe there's hope in our shared humanity, in peace, in unity to stand against hatred," she concluded.
