Famed children's author JK Rowling posted a mini-thread on X today (Monday) criticizing the new Labour government for appointing a Minister for Women at the Department of Education who cannot define what a woman is.

Rowling quoted the announced appointment of Labour MP Annaliese Dodds with a transcript of an interview of her on the "Woman's Hour" program in 2022 where Dodds consistently refused to say what a woman is.

Rowling has often caused controversy by insisting that men and women are physically and physiologically distinct while also insisting on respect for trans people, leading to many to accuse her of bigotry.
