The scriptwriters' and actors' strike in Hollywood continues, as their demands have not been met by the studios. A crowd of stunt doubles gathered at a car site, where they set up an improvised stage at the rear of one of the trucks.
The actor and stunt double, Mike Massa, who recently starred in the latest 'Indiana Jones' movie as a stunt double for Harrison Ford, climbed onto the improvised stage and set himself on fire. In a joint post he shared with actress and stuntwoman Elena Sanchez ('The Hunger Games', 'The Avengers'), they wrote, "We're tired of being burned by the AMPTP," the alliance of film and television producers.
Sanchez also spoke at the event and called for better wages for members of the actors' union, claiming that more than half of the union members earn too little to qualify for health insurance.
After the event, Mike Massa posted another update on his Instagram page, sharing his experiences from the demonstration and wrote: "We wanted to make a statement, and I think we did it."
