A data-based study of Google searches in September and October 2023 shows a worrying rise in antisemitic sentiment online, according to Wix SEO specialist Mordy Oberstein at the Mideast Journal.

Jews around the world have experienced a wave of antisemitism due to October 7 and the war in Gaza, in the form of harassment, assault, and pro-Palestinian protests containing antisemitic and violent rhetoric. This wave has not been absent online, according to Oberstein's analysis.

"Kill Jews" has increased 1800% since the massacre and the war, while clearly violent and antisemitic Hamas slogans such as "from the river to the sea" and "glory to our martyrs" has spiked above 10,000% since October 7. "Intifada revolution" has similarly seen an increase of over 10,000%.

Even more worrying, the increase in the search for these terms did not just occur in the US, but also Europe. "From the river to the sea," for instance, was searched even more in the UK than the US, with France about even with America.
