Miracle, Cheder

Huge miracle in Yerushalayim: How a father's alertness saved his child

Quick-thinking father shatters window to rescue 2 year old forgotten in cheder shuttle.

A child (approximatley two years old) was forgotten in the shuttle vehicle that was taking him to his cheder, was miraculously rescued today (Sunday) at noon by his father.

The child was trapped in a vehicle on Igrot Moshe Street in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood of Jerusalem, apparently since the morning.

It's important to mention that Israel has been experiencing an extremely hot summer and that the approximate temperature today was 30 C (90 F). In addition, being stuck inside a car elevates one's temperature quickly, and especially if the trapped person is a child.

His father called the Talmud Torah and was told that his son had not arrived. The panicked father arrived at the shuttle vehicle, which was parked close to the school, saw the child inside, and broke the vehicle's window to rescue his son.

United Hatzalah paramedics and EMTs who arrived at the scene found the child in good condition and provided medical assistance to his father was lightly injured.

United Hatzalah EMTs Moshe Erblich and Yaakov Cohen Pour reported: "We received a call from the United Hatzalah dispatch center about an infant trapped in a car. Upon arrival, we found the approximately two-year-old infant outside the shuttle vehicle after being rescued in good condition. In addition, we provided initial assistance to the father who was slightly injured during the child's rescue."

Boruch Hashem!!!
