What Drives a Former Soldier to Run for Senate?

Goodman, who previously worked on a project training service dogs for veterans with PTSD, explains that his decision to run for Senate stemmed from a sense of duty. "I haven't finished fighting for freedom. When members of the Jewish community in Chicago approached me and told me they felt politically homeless, I knew I had to act."

Additionally, he shared that his spiritual journey led him to the Jewish community, and he is even considering converting. "I feel like this has been my path all along. I study, attend synagogue, and find a deep connection to Jewish values." According to him, his relationship with Judaism only strengthens his commitment to Israel and the preservation of strong U.S.-Israel relations.

Fighting Against Extreme Progressive Agendas

Goodman criticizes the Democratic Party’s approach to Israel and U.S. domestic policies. "Instead of supporting allies like Israel, many Democrats prefer to embrace anti-Western elements, promote radical woke policies, and make American society less safe."

He states that he is committed to fighting against agendas such as teaching gender identity to elementary school children, imposing dangerous ideologies on kids, and neglecting the needs of ordinary American citizens.

Preparing for a Political Battle Against a Veteran Opponent

Goodman is running against Dick Durbin, who has served as an Illinois senator since 1997. "He has been in office since I was a toddler, and I think it's time for a change." According to Goodman, the American public is looking for a candidate who truly represents the people’s values – freedom, support for Israel, and economic strengthening.
