The BBC's Apology

The BBC in an Embarrassing Apology: "It was an Incorrect Report"

The BBC news channel was forced to publish an apology after it accused that medical teams at Shifa Hospital were a target for IDF soldiers, while the truth was the opposite - medical teams came to help the hospital. Watch.

The BBC's apology

The BBC is also beginning to understand that it is impossible to slander Israel freely. Britain's main news channel was forced to publish an apology today for its report that doctors and Arabs were the target of IDF soldiers who entered Shifa Hospital in Gaza.

In the apology, the BBC was accused of misquoting a Reuters report. While the IDF announced that among the forces that entered the hospital were Arabic-speaking doctors and soldiers who contacted the hospital personnel to deliver humanitarian medical equipment to them.

The BBC's apology

"While the BBC news channel published preliminary reports that Israeli forces had entered Gaza's main hospital, we said that 'medical staff and Arabic speakers' were a target for IDF soldiers. This was a misreport and misquote of Reuters.

"We should have said that the IDF forces include medical and Arabic-speaking teams for this operation.

We apologize for this error, which falls short of our normal standards. The correct version of events was broadcast minutes later and we apologized for it on air later in the morning."

Since the beginning of the fighting, Israel has been fighting the media in the world, which publish reports of Arab media without checking and lies about Israel. One of the main events was the rocket explosion at the Al-Maadi Hospital in which the world's media blamed Israel for the bombing, while it was a failed launch of the Islamic Jihad.

President Yitzhak Herzog reprimanded the BBC in an interview for its biased coverage, but this part was edited out and was not broadcast.
