Multiple airlines cancel flights to Lebanon amid potential conflict with Israel
As tensions continue to brew between Hezbollah and Israel, numerous airlines have now restricted flights to Beirut and are changing flight schedules for the upcoming future.

Airlines including; Lufthansa, Swiss, and Eurowings have suspended flights to Lebanon amid escalating tensions with Israel. The US embassy in Beirut was informed of the travel update earlier today. In response, the US continues to warn its American citizens still residing in Lebanon to leave the country and remain updated by travel advice for the region.
Amid worsening conflict between Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Israeli military, the Lufthansa Group as well as other prominent airlines has temporarily ceased night flights to and from Beirut. This suspension, effective until July 31st, was confirmed by the airline group in a statement to the German Press Agency. Daytime flights to and from Beirut will continue unchanged.
The German Foreign Office in Berlin has long advised against travel to Lebanon due to the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, urging German nationals to leave the country. They emphasized the potential for further deterioration and expanded conflict.
Despite the suspension of Lufthansa's night flights, daytime operations between Frankfurt am Main and Beirut remain unaffected. The decision reflects heightened military tensions in Lebanon, contributing to concerns over international air traffic.
The German government's travel advisory now includes Lebanon, alongside Israel, warning German travellers about ongoing conflicts and security risks in these regions.
