In preparation for the expected weather in the coming days, the Nature and Parks Authority publishes a warning to travelers and urges them to avoid entering streams.
The announcement on behalf of the authority reads, among other things: "According to the forecast of the meteorological service on Sunday and Monday, 12-13.11.23, there is a fear of floods in the Judean Desert and Dead Sea basins."
The Authority clarifies that "it is absolutely forbidden to enter the riverbeds on foot or by vehicle until the water level drops completely", and note that this is "a risk to life."
The authority also warns that "it is forbidden to approach the edge of a river during a flood for fear of the bank collapsing", and that "for questions about routes and travel sites, it is recommended to be updated before going on a trip with the Nature and Parks Authority information center at *3639. Regarding the weather, you should be updated on the website of the meteorological service and on news channels."
