Along with fluctuations in Tesla's stock, the rankings of the world's wealthiest individuals have shifted significantly. Yet out of the top 10 list of richest people in the world half are Jewish and all are men.

After Tesla Stock Plunge – Who is the World’s Richest Person?
Despite a recent drop in Tesla stock, Elon Musk remains the wealthiest person on the planet. According to Forbes Australia, Musk has held the title of the richest person since May 2024, maintaining his position at the top despite market fluctuations. As of March 2025, Musk’s fortune continues to outpace those of other tech moguls, including Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.
Bezos, who was in second place as recently as February, has now fallen to third position. Taking his spot in second place is none other than Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Meta, who has seen a notable rise in his net worth in recent months.
In a revealing breakdown of the world’s richest people, it’s clear that the list is dominated by American men. Eight out of the top 10 billionaires hail from the United States, with the remaining two from France and Spain. Notably, half of the individuals on the list are Jewish. As of March 1, 2025, all 10 of the world’s wealthiest individuals are men, each with an estimated fortune of around $118 billion or more.
In a notable change, Microsoft founder Bill Gates has fallen off the list of the world’s top 10 richest people, after a significant decrease in his wealth. This decline has allowed Amancio Ortega, the Spanish founder of the Inditex Group and owner of the Zara brand, to secure the ninth spot.
Here is the list of the 10 richest people in the world as of today:
The changes on the list reflect shifting fortunes in the tech world and global markets, with Musk’s lead solidifying despite the challenges faced by Tesla.
