WhatsApp latest major update: What users need to know

 In a recent blog post, the company revealed that it will be expanding customization options, including new backgrounds, personalized colors for chat bubbles, and a fresh selection of wallpapers. These changes are being rolled out to users in phases, with full availability expected worldwide in the coming weeks.

One of the key updates is the addition of 30 new wallpaper options, many of which are grouped into pre-made themes that automatically select the appropriate bubble and text colors to complement the wallpaper. This allows users to easily personalize their chats or distinguish between different conversations, making it easier to spot chats from important contacts or groups.

For those who want more control over their chat design, WhatsApp now offers the ability to manually adjust the colors of message bubbles and text. Users can also choose any image they prefer as their chat background, much like the customization options available in the past. This feature can be applied either to individual chats or to the entire app experience, giving users flexibility in how they customize their messaging experience.

To access these new design features, users can navigate to the “Settings” menu, then go to “Chats” and select “Default Chat Theme” to change the design for all chats and channels. If you prefer to modify the theme for a specific chat or channel, you can enter the chat, click the three-dot menu or chat name at the top of the screen, and then choose the theme you want to apply. After making your selection, simply confirm, and the new design will be applied.
