This isn't King Midas's ride: Gold-plated CyberTruck hits the auction block
In what might be the most over-the-top vehicle sale since Goldmember traded in his roller skates, a Tesla Cybertruck covered in $60,000 worth of 24K gold is turning heads at auction. Because apparently, a regular Cybertruck wasn't flashy enough.

YouTuber Zack Nelson (JerryRigEverything) has turned a Cybertruck into what might be the world's most expensive selfie magnet, and now it could be yours.
The vehicle, which looks like something a Silicon Valley billionaire would drive in a Bond movie, has become an internet sensation, racking up millions of views and leaving fingerprints on screens worldwide.
It's been poked, prodded, and praised by YouTube royalty including Marques Brownlee (MKBHD), TheStradman, and Doug DeMuro - who all signed it, presumably after washing their hands thoroughly.

Under all that glitter, this 2024 Foundation Series model packs 600 horses and a crazy amount of tech. It's got 20-inch wheels (also shiny), a screen bigger than some studio apartments (18.5 inches), and four-wheel steering for when you need to parallel park.
The truck's origin story is peak 2024: Ridge Wallet owned it, planned to give it away, but the contest winner said "Nah, I'll take cash" (probably the first person in history to turn down a gold-plated Cybertruck).
Now Nelson is auctioning it off for charity, with all proceeds going to the Not A Wheelchair Foundation, which develops affordable wheelchairs - turning this automotive excess into something genuinely meaningful.
Currently bidding at $86,000, this rolling treasure chest does have a few minor scratches, but Nelson has promised to gold-plate any replacement parts.
For collectors worldwide, this isn't just a car - it's a conversation piece, a charitable contribution, and probably the only vehicle that needs both a charging station and a security detail.
Just remember: if you win, good luck finding a parking spot where people won't try to scratch their initials into it.
And yes, we checked - it doesn't actually turn everything it touches into gold. We know, we're disappointed too.
