Royal Match, a casual mobile game developed by the Turkish startup Dream Games, has maintained its monthly revenue lead over previous revenue leader Candy Crush since July, according to Data.ai, per reporting by the Financial Times.

Lexi Sydow, head of insights at Data.ai, told the Financial Times that the game's appeal lies in part in its easy to learn gameplay and storyline, which according to Dream Games chief executive Soner Aydemir, keeps most players coming back year after year.

According to Hurriyet News, Turkish Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır shared the Financial Times article on his social media page and boasted of how Dream Games beat Candy Crush behind despite being officially valued at far less than the previous casual gaming king.
