Obama doubted Harris and tried to stop her Presidential nomination, book claims
A new book, FIGHT: Inside the Wildest Battle for the White House, claims former President Barack Obama doubted Vice President Kamala Harris’s ability to win the 2024 election and actively pushed for a mini-primary or open convention to block her nomination, despite eventually endorsing her. The book also reveals Obama’s behind-the-scenes efforts, including a planned call with Rep. James Clyburn, and Biden’s insistence that Harris defend his legacy during her debate, leaving little room for her to chart her own course.
