Cyril Ramaphosa (born November 17, 1952) serves as the President of South Africa, a position he has held since 2018. He is married to Dr. Tshepo Motsepe and has four children. Ramaphosa resides in the official presidential residences in Pretoria and Cape Town, maintaining offices at the Union Buildings and Tuynhuys respectively.

As the leader of the African National Congress (ANC) and South Africa's head of state, Ramaphosa's presidency has focused on economic reforms, anti-corruption measures, and addressing the challenges of unemployment and inequality. His background as a trade union leader, businessman, and key negotiator in South Africa's transition from apartheid has shaped his leadership approach.

Prior to becoming president, Ramaphosa served as Deputy President under Jacob Zuma from 2014 to 2018. His business career included positions as chairman of various companies and establishing the Shanduka Group. During the anti-apartheid struggle, he founded the National Union of Mineworkers and played a crucial role in negotiations that led to South Africa's first democratic elections in 1994.
